Update Regarding Youth Ministry & Youth Night Events
Last week, Miss Rose informed me she had accepted a new position serving with another church and that her new role would conflict with her responsibilities at Tunnel Hill, particularly her availability on Sundays.
Yesterday, I informed the other Elders of this news and we discussed several options for moving forward.
After some heartfelt discussion, we decided it was best for us to part ways at this time and to allow Miss Rose to move forward in her new role with our prayers and best wishes. We do invite everyone to be in prayer for her, her family, and her new role. At the same time, we ask your prayers and patience as we consider our future options and opportunities with this developing area of ministry.
We will be cancelling all upcoming Youth Night programs and events. I'll be updating our website and calendar to reflect these changes.
If you have any questions, ask away. If you have anyone approach you and you don't know the answer, please encourage them to ask. There are no consequences for bad questions, I think it is when we try to make up answers on our own that the trouble happens.
It is always hard starting a ministry, even more difficult when you are trying to build something new. Miss Rose did her best and, given the circumstances, we can celebrate the progress she made. When I talked to Miss Rose yesterday, I let her know that she is always welcome at Tunnel Hill Christian Church. My encouragement to you is to continue to treat her with the same love and respect you did when she was on our staff ministry team. My prayers are that she will continue to be a friend and that God will bless her future endeavors and ours as well.
Blessings to each of you,
Michael Chanley
